Nokia E65 (Unlocked)
The good: The Nokia E65 smart phone boasts a beautiful and compact slider design, and features a 2-megapixel camera, e-mail, and productivity apps. It also offers good call quality and solid talk time battery life, and has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The bad: The E65 doesn’t support document editing out of the box, and the lack of a full QWERTY keyboard makes it less than ideal for e-mail. It’s occasionally slow, and there’s no flash for the camera. The front and side navigation controls are also small and hard to use. There’s no support for U.S. 3G networks.
Summary: I have just recently purchased my E65 in Asia. I know it does not support the US standard for 3G. I don’t have a need for 3G, so the phone suits me fine.
If you needed 3G then the N95 is the phone to go for.
The reason I chose this phone was for the ability to roam with my North America number.
I no longer need to carry my Analog voice adapter with me when I travel, as I long as I have wi-fi access.
I use www.zingotel.com for my VoIP number in North America. It’s cheaper then Vonage and there is no extra charge to use it as a softphone.

Nokia N76
The good: The Nokia N76 features a slim body and gorgeous internal display. The multimedia-centric smart phone is equipped with a fairly robust media player, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 2-megapixel camera. Sound quality for calls and music is also good.
The bad: The N76 doesn’t support the A2DP Bluetooth profile and doesn’t work on U.S. 3G networks. There are also some major design flaws, including the placement of the headphone jack and slick navigation controls.
Summary: This has to be the sexiest phone in many years, but this is no dumb blond. The N76 is a first rate smart phone that does everything the N95 does with faster menu speeds. It doesn’t have WiFi or GPS, but GPS is a toy to me, and as a veteran user of handheld WiFi, it ain’t worth the hassle. I like everything about the phone and I really can’t understand CNET’s tepid reception to every N Series phone, other than the N80. What is that all about? This phone does it all. If you can’t like this, I don’t know what you can like.

The camera is fine. It isn’t 5 MP, but if you are really interested in photography, you’ll own a camera. A camera phone isn’t for photo journalists or serious photographers. I can’t believe we live in an age where reviewers take the time to review cameras on phones. This is a phone, and a beautiful, very smart phone at that.
