I’ve used Vongage for several years and have always been very pleased with the service. People say I sound very crisp & clear, and I’ve never had any other problems of any kind.

I had a previous set of Vonage cordless phones that lasted so long all of the batteries needed replaced. Rather than spend $75 on batteries, I bought this new kit. The phones are a bit smaller and I liked the orange bright display.

These phones are essentially plug & play. Once your Vonage account is set up with the ID of the system, everything else is easy. One phone gets plugged in to the vonage box that plugs into the internet and the rest operate cordlessly from that home unit.

These units have a variety of volumes & ringtones. I’m not a huge fan of talking on the telephone, but these make it bearable. Completely satisfied & recommended.

Not sure why Amazon thinks I purchased these 3 phones and the VOIP phone adapter, but I did buy this exact adapter from Vonage themselves so I’m qualified to review that part.

I switched to Vonage because my previous VOIP provider, AT&T CallVantage, notified me they were closing down their operations. Unfortunately, the Vonage VOIP phone adapter did not work for me.

Well, it worked, but you would have to be a mind reader to complete a phone conversation with anyone. Every few words would be dropped from the conversation on my end, and the same on the other end.

I worked with tech support a couple of times, and although I’m sure they were based in India, they were helpful in diagnosing the situation although the problem could not be resolved.

Apparently there were just too many hops in the path between my ISP, Verizon FiOS in Irving, TX, and the Vonage computers and switches. My fiber optic connection was more than fast enough, and no problems with my router or home network (all of which had worked great with CallVantage, even including the ability to fax over the VOIP connection), but the Vonage network and/or phone device combination just weren’t up to giving me decent phone service.

Be very aware that if you do not return Vonage-purchased equipment within 30 days, you have no return or refund rights. That little caveat bit me, and I have no love for Vonage on that point.

First of all I did not receive the phone I ordered. The picture and description show 3 telephones and I only received 2, second I spent many days with several computer experts trying to connect it to my internet service and it would not work. I have an older vonage Vtech system which I had to reconnect in order to use my phone lines, third I spoke with the technology department at Vonage and we tried everything and could not get the service to work. I’m in the process of packing up the box and returning it for refund. I hope I will not have any difficulty getting my money back. I am not a “happy customer” !!!
