hello, just hoping you could send me one of those invites whenever one is available. I have just activated my droid and am really looking forward to being able to use gogglevoice with it. I’ve been waiting for months for google to hand me an invite without any luck. We text at work constantly(I work as an EMT in LA) to cover each others shifts and set up meeting for food etc, however getting this phone has forced me to give up a text plan. im a bit crippled right now. Hope you can help. Thanks

Just wanted everyone to know that for the moment I am waiting on more Google Voice invites to hand out. Two are already reserved and should be going out in the next few days. I’ll let you two know when, I’ve already contacted you about the delay. All other people clamoring, I’ll let you know when I can offer more. Keep watching the channel as more videos are coming and more giveaways as well. Thanks as always for the views.

Hi! Just went out and bought the Droid! My crazy hectic life has just changed for the best; this product really drives efficiency and success! I would LOVE an invite to Google Voice to expand my opportunity to thrive. I want to be able to help more people with my work while not compromising my own personal security! I can do that by referring non-profits and cancer patients to the Google Mobile telephone number! I can see this really making a difference in my life. Be well, Sara

Great! Ill definately check out your new video! Its great that you make these videos to keep everyone informed, otherwise alot of us wouldnt know about it! Once I get ahold of 2.0 I doubt Id want to go back but it was just a thought I had. Google Voice does sound very neat, Id probally enjoy using it but Im sure theres plenty of other people trying to win one from you! Well Ive got to run, Im trying to order another MyTouch for my wife right now, keep in touch, your my first source for Android!

  8. TheJohnMLo on December 14th, 2009 02:38

I answered a couple of your questions, the best I could that is in the new video I just posted. Basically, see no reason why you couldn’t go back but I see no reason why you would want to, 2.0 is great. Go to a Verizon store, play with it on a Droid, you’ll love it. Also if you need a Google Voice invite, let me know, it’s a nice thing to have on the MyTouch. Keep in touch and I’ll try to answer any questions you have the best I can. Be good.

You’re welcome. I think your right about the MyTouch running fine with 2.0, theres alot of people wanting it so Im sure theyll have it running correctly! Im hoping all the G1 users can get it as well, I have seen it on youtube, some versions werent too slow either. I just got my MyTouch not even a month ago so Im hoping everything works out! If we dont like 2.0 will we be able to go back to 1.6? Thanks for your quick replys!

  10. TheJohnMLo on December 14th, 2009 02:56

First, thanks for the compliment. So far I have heard that the MyTouch will have no problems with 2.0 and run it perfectly. As well as Droid? Probably not do to the hardware but will run it with no issues. The G1 is a convoluted mess of different stories. The one thing that is promising is that someone was able to run it on their G1, though slow, so it should work. The ones with problems will be those with custom OS builds. No such issue with MyTouch which is my fav. of the bunch so far.

  11. DavidMazdaRx7 on December 14th, 2009 03:37

So it should be avaliable as an over the air update? Ive heard all these rumors of 2.0 being too big for the G1, but Ive read that my My Touch should be able to handle it fine, what do you think? I mean the MT3G is pretty new and mine came with 1.6. Im almost bet someone who downloaded the SDK will find a way to port it smoothly for MT3G and G1 by the time 2.0 actually comes out. Please keep me updated! You seem like a credible source!

  12. TheJohnMLo on December 14th, 2009 04:29

Verizon might have a deal with Google and we won’t be seeing 2.0 until late Dec. early Jan. as an over the air update much like 1.6. The other rumor is that it is not optimized for the older phones and needs fixing. Now flash 10 will hit after that since adobe has said that they were waiting for 2.0 to start developing and they just got the SDK. So mid 2010 is the best guess there. Hope that helps, thanks for following. If I hear anything else I’ll be sure to post.

Hey man, Im hearing alot of different dates refering to when Android 2.0 is going to be avaliable(not the SDK) but do you know if it will be a downloadable update? I have a MyTouch 3G right now and Im using Android 1.6, I really want 2.0 mainly for the flash 10. Get back to me when you can, thanks!

  14. TheJohnMLo on December 14th, 2009 05:26

What are you trying to get on your g1? The Google voice or Eclair? Eclair won’t come out until November 6th when Droid drops and no idea how long until T-mobile gets it to distribute. Speculation is that the G1 doesn’t have the memory to run it but no one really knows yet. Have to wait till t-mobile begins running their OTA’s. For Google Voice you need an invite and the app. I still have three left to give. So you can still try to win one. Hope that helped in some way. Thanks for watching.

Nice video, John. Wondering if I could trade you a Google Voice Invite for a Google Wave Invite… that is if you have one available and find this offer worthy.
