How doe I use skype on a windows vista home edition when I am using a proxy server?

Someone told me that if I have windows vista home edition and use a proxy server, I cannot use skype? Is this true? If not, then how do I use skype?

I don’t think so. My favorite way to use skype is on my PSP. Add a usb webcam and its great.
